Haemodialysis Services at ParkCity Medical Centre
What is Haemodialysis?
Haemodialysis is a vital medical treatment for patients whose kidneys are no longer able to effectively filter waste, toxins, and excess fluids from the blood. This process helps maintain a healthy chemical balance in the body and prevents complications associated with kidney failure.
Who Needs Haemodialysis?
Haemodialysis is typically required for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in its advanced stages or end-stage renal disease (ESRD). It may also be used in certain acute kidney injuries where kidney function is severely impaired. Our nephrology team carefully assesses each patient to determine the optimal timing and type of dialysis treatment.
Our Haemodialysis Services
The unit offers haemodialysis and haemodiafiltration for end-stage renal failure. The hospital provides treatment for outpatients and inpatients with acute and chronic renal failure in addition to emergency service treatment with trained staff providing on-call service after operational hours. Treatment is also available in the critical care units.
We use advanced dialyzer (High-flux membranes) and single-use dialyzer for every dialysis session to ensure maximum safety, comfort, and infection control
Our dialysis unit is equipped with advanced dialysis machines that provide safe, effective, and comfortable treatments. We have dedicated 9 treatment bays that ensure patient privacy and comfort during sessions and 2 dedicated Isolation rooms
The hemodialysis department operates three shifts from 7.00am to 9.00pm, 6 days a week including public holidays, close on Sunday. After hours, an on-call team is on standby for any emergency cases.
All patients are screened for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV as a precautionary measure prior to starting treatment. Patients are also regularly assessed, and their progress reviewed by the nephrologists.
The ParkCity Medical Centre Haemodialysis department is panel for SOCSO, JPA and ATM(Veteran).
